"Great Lakes countries conclude landmark summit for peace"
Africa News, DAR ES SALAAM: More than a dozen African heads of state concluded a two-day landmark summit here Saturday for peace and development in the Great Lakes region, adopting the Dar es Salaam declaration.Leaders from 11 Great Lakes countries adopted the declaration, an all-inclusive peace plan, to map out the blueprint for peace and development for the region that has been stalled by civil conflicts, refugee exodus, famine and killer diseases.
