"South Africa considering request to question Thatcher"
CAPE TOWN, South Africa South Africa is considering Equatorial Guinea's request to question Mark Thatcher about his alleged role in a foiled coup plot.The 51-year-old son of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher is under house arrest at his swank Cape Town, South Africa, home. He's accused of helping to fund the purchase of a helicopter for use in the alleged plot to topple the president of the oil-rich West African nation of Equatorial Guinea.
Thatcher denies any involvement and has until September Eighth to post 300-thousand dollars' bail. His wife, Diane, and their two children drove to the airport today, apparently to catch a flight out of the country.
