"Artist's quilt of lynching victims tells tragic stories"
When April Elaine Shipp discovered the picture of a female victim of lynching, she got a shock."I had no idea they would lynch women," says the teary-eyed Southfield artist on a recent morning at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
