"Sudan may now face locust plague"
As if the people of Darfur, in western Sudan, didn't have enough to contend with, now there's the prospect of a plague of locusts.Agricultural officials in West Africa say that if the current locust swarms worsen, up to one million people could face hunger.
The swarms, the worst in a decade-and-a-half, have already caused severe damage to crops in Mauritania, Mali, and Niger.
