They never offered York a deal---York and his attorneys laid a deal on the table. It then went to presentence investigations. After the report, the Judge decided that 50 years with 14 years served is not nearly enough time for the crimes. They were ready and set to go to trial---at the last minute it was YORK who begged for a deal! Now he is confused and wanting to have a psychological evaluation--lol. He's a nut alright, either way it goes he's gonna stay locked up. That 'not guilty by reason of insanity' bullshit still gets you locked away--but this route he'll be pumped full of anti-psychotic drugs.
