Re: Queen says 'NO' to Rastas
In Response To: Re: Queen says 'NO' to Rastas ()

Sorry to have disappointed you gman.
Yes I agree with you on what you say on Britain's motives.
Now you say Britain is making money off black people's bakcs; their making money off everyone who works in Britain, whats your point?
I know what Britain did was terrible and wrong but you imply that Blacks haven't got anything out of their extreme hard work. Well Blacks in America and Europe live the most richest (in terms of material) life then anywhere on Earth. I'm not apologzing for the slave traders and I don't agree with what happened but the slaves have "gained" (can't find a more appropriate word) from their work: they have independence everywhere.
And another point, why should I the tax payer, who had absolutely nothing to do with the slave trade or took part in it, pay money to people I don't even know and who live thousands of miles away? I haven't traded no slaves nor took part, directly or indirectly, with it.
I didn't choose what race or country I was born in; I cannot be held responsible for what people did centuries ago.

Nick
