Greetings Ras Christopher,
I hope to travel to Senegal, Mali, Burkino Faso and Ghana, travelling back to London from Ghana, probably over next winter. My main aim is to meet people in these places and talk to them about why they chose to move back to West Africa, rather than Ethiopia and Shashamane. I also hope to hear reggae music of West Africa, which carries on the revolutionary ideals of Jamaican reggae from the 1970s.
I am English, white and dreadlocked, my trip is hopefully to be funded by an organisation intended to spread religious tolerance and understanding throughout the UK. They (the WCMT) are especially keen to promote tolerance of Rastafari who sadly find themselves in prison in the UK. I do not want to approach this trip as an 'academic exercise' but any contacts with Conscious Professors in Africa would be wondeful.
Many Thanks for your reply,
Peace and Love.
Sadie
