Don't know how Garvey would have felt about the Indians. I would think he would have had a problem with them trying to go to Africa, since "Africa for the Africans, India for the Indians" etc. but I don't know that he would have had a problem with them being in Howell's camp.
As far as the KKK, a lot of people miscontrue Garvey's meeting with them. As far as Garvey was concerned the US gov't was the KKK anyway (and he was absolutely right, only they are much more powerful and dangerous). So if he would meet/lobby/talk to one, then why not the other. Also another reason he met with them was to let them know that they better not mess with UNIA chapters or they would be some dead Klansmen.
