I think the work of Garvey is very much overlooked by many whites within the movement and where his work is taken up by those who do study it they do choose only bits and pieces that help there own cause and do not study his works as a whole.
To even consider Garvey as anything but Pro-Black is a blatant mis-education and something that should never be tolerated by anyone within a Black movement.
Garvey was a proud and pro active leader for Black movements with no excuse. Anyone who studied the man could see this and to turn a blind eye to his works and only see what oneself wants is a true sign of dis-raspect to not only Garvey but other Pro black warriors like Walter Rodney. These men gave their own lives for the uplifting of their own people not only because they wanted freedom from discrimination but because they wanted the uplifting of their own people, nation, culture, God,
And this people, nation, culture, God is Black and no other colour. It is that simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the work that Garvey did for his people was absolutely amazing in every way and you do not do as he did without having a passion for a single goal.
Black people and all that is Black.
"The white man never can be the negro, and the negro can never be the white man"
Marcus Garvey
