Greetings Yan
I have re-read your statement, and it says the same thing. I have contradicted I-self in no way. Many on this board seem to have a grudge against Ethiopia and Her Christian ways, as well as Rasta, and the reality that Rastafari, from JA, have been International diplomats of Haile Selassie I, and all that HIM entails, Christ, JAH, white, black, asian, maorian, etc. Rastafari truely is a world-wide movement, whether ones want it this way or not. I am not interjecting my own opinion here...this is the reality of Rastafari.
I am well aware of the new-comers to Rastafari who do not see the African-based reality of Rastafari. They will grow. I in no way deny this reality, nor do many japhets within the movement. IanI of the pale complexion want it to be clear that IanI take this Trod seriously, and are trying to do our best and upmost to achieve equality for Africans and the Oppressed world-wide. I personally feel that there is a difference between Rastafari and Pan-Africanism, as can be evident by Marley himself when he said in his last interview (with Black American press), "Pan? There ain't no pan in front of Africa"....meaning, is how I I-terpret it, to be that through Africa, Ethiopia specifically, came Yahuda Enbessa, Haile Selassie I, JAH/Christos manifested here in this time and age. I think the difference lies in that Rastafari speaks to the African FIRST, but then extends the invitation to the Higher Ites to the rest of the nations. Pan-African-ism is for Africans alone, it seems, from ones who post in this forum.
The reality of Rastafari, how it is I-terpeted amongst the nations...religious, political, militant, retreating...on and on...cannot be denied. It seems to I that many on this board would like to deny the Higher Ites of Rastafari, Truelly JAH WORKS, to the rest of the nations and make Rastafari THEIR reality, when it just is not that way.
