This brings up a reasoning that I have been meditating on for a while now...I feel that it is important to start making recorded histories of the Rastafari Movement as a whole. There are many Rastafari Livities. Just look at this forum and we can see the complexity of the Movement. I am well aware of ones that are weary of this, but two-thousand years from now, what will people know of Rastafari? I know that many different Christianities are coming to light that were not talked about much in the past, making us think that there was one Christianity, which, historically, is false. I wish that I knew more about Yshua the man, and not what was written about him some 50-100 years after his life.
In the same way, I feeel IanI need to keep recorded histories, and knowledgable facts cocnerning Haile Selassie I and the many different Rastafari Livities. Why does it bother ones so that HIM was who He was....an Ethiopian King, who lived in His culture, in His times...here in this manifestation? It is like trying to take the Hebrew-ness out of Yshua, imo.
Further reasonings welcome.
