None of those religions were developed to specifically address the plight of Africans at the hands of oppressive Whites, and it is not as if the oppression is over. So the core issues that gave rise to the Rastafari movement are still the same.

To deny and or trivialize the ongoing race issues that gave rise to the Rastafari Movement is an attempt to undermine the very reason for the movement in the first place. Rastafari as a movement is first and foremost about addressing the concerns of Africans who share a unique experience. It is not about the shallow accommodation of everyone in a feel good fairyland state. Well some can do that but it is certainly not correct in my view.
