I think that black people want one place in the world that we can call our own with out constant criticism and editorializing by Europeans. Here's my analogy, I don't like what's going on in Israel, but it's not my business or my problem, so I am not on any Israeli websites trying to tell them how to handle their business.
They wouldn't listen anyway. I guess, my point is, no we can't put up barriers saying "no whites allowed in our newly repatriated areas". Can we at least be respected in our attempts to build and form African communities comprised of Africans? Why when Africans want anything to themselves are we dogged and made to appear to be racists or mental midgets? Racism is prejudice and power (READ MONEY), not an exercise of wanting to live in a commnity where there are others like you. Europeans profit and export the majority of the money going off the continent, while Africans are dying and suffering on one of the most minerally rich areas of the world and it's sickening. Africans are talking about controlling our resources and profiting from them finally and for once. We have a right to want our culture to ourselves, because look at what integrating with Europeans has done for us. Sure, individually, there are cool white people, but I am talking about the European mindset and culture as a whole. The cultural history that Africans and Europeans have with each other precludes the intelligent Africans from being open armed all the time to everybody. Sorry, that's just how it is. We don't have the time or energy to love every body else when we haven't figured out to love, support and take care of ourselves as African first every day all day. It's our culture and we want to run and enjoy it it without the constant interference and having others tell us they know what is best for us. No one argues with Japanese people for wanting to preserve their culture, religion and language. The majority of Africans have been mentally colonized and enslaved, I mean, I am typing in my conquerors language because it is all I know. But when we want to seriously explore our history or practice our traditions INDEPENDENTLY we get all kinds of flack and drama. I get tired of it. Didn't this country enact Jim Crow laws specifically to keep the reaces separate? We're not even talking about that. It's a self determination issue. Remember, a large part of the goal of repatriation is to get away from the negative and damaging side affects of European culture, which apparently is difficult to escape from in Africa too.
