Of course it's desirable to have a society without money. Whether it's possible anymore is another question. At the anti-FTAA protests in Miami last fall, there was established a "really, really, free market." It was a place where people could barter, give, or trade whatever they wanted. People were trading head scratches for stories. Bananas for bread. Etc. It's possible, for sure.
