The bible is a tool of social control. It's ideas in one way or another tie one to a system of interpretation of reality which legitimizes an earthly power. At the same time, it derives its origin from the blueprint of the mystery religions from ancient times. Jesus is the character of the initiate who becomes the master, his death at the symbolic age is indicitive of this, along with his dealings with the sacred prostitute(Magdalene), his inner core group of disciples who are given the hidden teachings, while the masses are taught in parables, etc.
