Polarity exists in everything and everyone. When there is a negative there must be a positive. Misfortunes, mistakes and sorrow can only make you stronger. A prisoner has no freedom – I can not relate to the experiences they have faced but I will say that I am not free. There are no chains around my ankles or my wrists yet I am still held in captivity. Every day I get up and put on a costume, go to work and act the way society expects me to act, do the things society expects me to do, walk the walk and talk the talk that our “founding fathers” have embedded in Americans for hundreds of years. Huh, “founding fathers”, those aren’t my fathers, I only have one Father, JAH RASTAFARI. You see, all I have is my mind and that is where I am free! I seek within for knowledge, truth and overstanding. Observe the Earth – compared to the vast space in your mind the Earth is an ameba. Your mind is infinite. So with this knowledge look within, deep within and know you are free! Free in mind and spirit and no one can take that away from you. No one – not the COs, not the judge and certainly not the system. Move away from negativity and trod forward. Meditate. Meditation is purity and purity is truth. Walk with consciousness and confidence. Yes, be fearless – why worry when you can pray? Don’t fear anything because it will only hold you back from moving forward and we must move forward. To move forward is to grow, to grow is to love and to love is to live. Do not harbor negative thoughts and turn all your stress and struggle into strength! I’ve studied the undesirable experiences of my life for many hours but I can honestly say I am only thankful for such lessons. I am grateful the bearer of strife has crossed my path in this lifetime to teach me the lessons I’ve been taught. Now I will take those negative experiences and turn them into something positive for my future. A negative thing only remains negative if you choose to ignore it. Not me, face everything up front and personal. I don’t walk around or creep around anything. No fear! Of course I have felt anger and frustration with negative situations but I never lash out or retaliate because I have a divine overstanding that everything we experience has a purpose and some things you might find out right away and other things you will have to wait for the reason, but it will come as sure as the sun will rise and shine. I always think, act and surround myself with positivity. Everything in this world rotates 360 degrees. What comes around goes around as they say. Observe the planets revolving around the sun, look within and see the blood in our very veins flowing mellifluously on a never-ending journey. This only proves the more positive I am the more positive things will come. Be proud but don’t be vain. Vanity is for the weak. Know that beauty is within and we are all beautiful for we are a reflection of the Most High. Are you comfortable in listening to the words I speak? Is it “normal” you ask. Don’t ask yourself if it is normal, ask yourself why and then you will know that it is normal just not of the norm. See, sadly the majority of individuals in this world walk around oblivious to the truth. They get caught up in society, society’s ways and society’s structures. Not me. I am not blind and I will not allow for the system to blind me as they strive to do. There is no reason to run from me, there is no reason to fear me, there is no reason to be shy or timid with me. I am an open book for all to read as they will for I am proud of who I am and what I stand for. What do I stand for you ask? Well, I stand for the truth and the truth is JAH! Jah brought me here to conquer, not to bow. And conquer I will, alone or with a King by my side, which ever Jah so chooses to grant me in this life time. Strength, guidance and protection to all.
