I am presently in full agreement with the position of the board members on mostly all the concerns that are displayed in the reasoning. True!

One subtle point that INI need to highlight rests in the junction that seemed to be a real road block; it is the position against the "ignorant".
Ignorance is not only characteristic of the uninformed; ignorance shows its ugly head when the intolerance of the informed ones degenerate into arrogance and sometimes the observer cannot decide (for the moment) which is worse: ignorance or arrogance.

Yes, I agree there are the dreadlocked individuals who call on Haile Sellassie 1 and believe they have the power to transform its essence for many reasons, two of which are:
1: their degreed education allows them to contest with the authority of INI Majesty to a point of dissing many of the tenets of the trodition and replace them with their own limited wisdom.eg. the issue of race and morality.
2: the truly uninformed who out of inspiration embraced RasTafari as their way of life but refuse to recognise the need for solid discernment and become vulnerable to the presence of patronising whites. Unconciously they are the ones who automically become the body guards of the distracting hippie type europeans influenced by Bob Marley's music. Their foundation is music and refuse to open to the africanness of the trodition. With their big box they indeed have caused a great division among RasTafari outdaciously claiming that RasTafari is a one love thingthat has nothing to do with the African cause- division and distraction.
I am suspecting that is the fight of some members on this board.
The loud speakers who refuse to allow the white/pale priviledges to be dissceted in order to arrive at some sort of frontier to build on the confidence of black africans.
Honestly from my own experience, if it was left to some INformed and uninformed alike, some of INI the blacker, would have walked awayfrom the RasTafri livity.
It would be folly to deny that there are some RasTafari houses that are male dominated, "blows on the woman"; colour blind; strictly ganJah based; pathetically nonpolitical(by this I dont mean partisan politics); to a sadder extent, non educational: there are those dreadlocks ones who refuse to even sacrifice for their children's education.
Yes, I agree that these issues must be opened up to arrive at a true balance, while at the same time bringing to the surface the true tenets of RasTafari; even this Black King/Queen happen to have a different African shade of skin AND WERE SURROUNDED BY OPPRESSIVE AFRICANS.
