Western arrogance that I have experienced, and believe me I live bang in the heart of Babylon, is perpetrated by 'arrogant people', sorry guy,s but largely male, and they only survive because most people, women on the whole because many are too afraid or dependent, and nice guys are afraid to stand up to them.
Point of fact, I know a 'real' Babylonian wolf and he only thrives because his wife, secretary and ex girl friends are afraid that 'he is going to shout at them' if they don't do what he wants, when he wants. If he were told to 'take a long walk off a short pier' then he wouldn't be so strong.
'Get up, stand up for your rights'. If you are justified and have righteousness on your side and your family's survival is not at stake (sorry bit of reality kicking in there, then stand up to these Babylonian wolves!
The sad reality is that most of us are dependent on other people for our survival if we choose to live in Babylon, so all the best intentions fly out of the window, but it does not mean that we have to take it all lying down.
One of the finest things that Rastafari has taught me is to set an example! By example others learn and believe me, I have never come across a situation where my example of Rastafari has not won supreme over Babylon!
Have faith, take courage and look at the life of His Majesty. It was multi faceted and multi cultural.
Peace and Love
