No one is bringing to question whether Ras Rootka is a black man or not. That's not the issue. Black people can perpetuate white supremacy with just as much disastrous effects as white people.
The issue here is the characteristic of white supremacy that says that things are good how they are, and therefore topics like race, class, and gender should not be reasoned, because they are divisive. This illusion of one love/we should all unite/rainbow people rethoric is very damaging and ignorant because it not only ignores the reality that Black people (especially DARK SKINNED BLACKS) face, but it also gives the impression that people can unite without doing the necessary nitty gritty work on their self. In the case of whites, there can be no one love/rainbow ppl/we are all JAh's children unity unless whites come to terms with the extent of their own privelege in the White Supremacist Patriachial society and do the necessary work on self. Unless they do this, the best they could ever do, is TO BE PATRONISING TO ANYTHING AFRICAN.
Colorblindness is not the solution for racism. The solution lies in people having to reason through critical issues and gain an understand of bitter realities that are experiences by some, dayin, day out.

Even though issues of race, sex and colorism is difficult for some to deal with, there is no shortcut around reasoning such critical issues. The most damaging poeople are not the ones with swatiskas tattoed on their chest but rather those that professs to be about one love and unity and still perpetuate the subtetlies of white supremacy and white privelege to those around them. This attitude that is prevalnt especially in the US, seeks to uphold the status quo of injustice and ignorance instead on contibuting towards the destruction of white supremacy that can only be done thorugh first becoming conscious of one's own role and using whatever priveleges to destroy the system of false priveleges.

Even if u have traces of black in you, according to your phenotype you are a white woman. So therefore as a white woman is this system u benefit from white privelege. Sis Kelani simply highlighted a very valid issue where ones like to gloss over race matter and act like it is not important to achieving spiritual ideals of Rastafari.

This is true, but i note your use 'have been done'. The reality that a lot of oppression is still be meted out especially to non white people. But is has become so subtle and instituionalised that many take it for granted.
The difference between a white person and a black person is not the same between a tall person and a not so tall person. Its the issue where our eexpereinces are shaped a lot by certain physical characteristic i.e skin color/race. So while the differences in the genutype might be minute the differences causes by the different phenotypes are large.
