You said: “The tribal problems always seem to have existed and the enemies of africa identified this weakness very early. They were/are then able to use that against us and made TRIBALISM part of our land mark
Now as informed/learned ones, is there a light in this tunnel or are we going to dwell on that and allow others to use that against us forever? or are we going to truly identify areas where we as African people create dents in this vicious circle of continuous tribalism that only serve to keep us dispossesed.”
--How convenient to seek exclusion from the history and current egregious crimes of your fellow Africans. Dodging and ducking does not preclude you from the sins of African people. If you really want to give credibility to your freedom fighter spirit, address all sides involved in a problem, and also look at causes and effects of their point.
You said: “The Ethiopians who have seen such problems and vigorously worked at dismantling this strangle hold should not be labelled as anything but Africans.”
--How this problem has been solved? MOST of the dark skinned Ethiopians I have met in University at work in the US, did discuss their oppression of the other group in their society, it is a negative thing, which they condemned. I am sure it is not advertised amongst the African community being that most people who originate from Semitic Ethiopia are unlikely to tell other members of the African community that they are treating their fellow African brothers and sisters in this manner, as it will be condemned.
You said: “As for the other ethiopians, nigerians, congolese, etc, etc, who glorify this sick separation based on the tone of skin, brandishing an ugly complex in the face of pan africanisn must know that this story has already been told. The next step is healing.”
--What a cowardice attitude simply healing! You demonstrate the tendency I spoke of previously amongst the contemporary so-called Rastafarian to sit comfortably, blinded by unrealistic philosophy. Why challenge a lifestyle that you are comfortable in?? Don't give polemic arguments, when facts speak loudly today. These atrocities continue today in Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Congo and Rwanda without due progress. If this truth hurts you, the best you can do is speak against your Euro-American multinationals public officials' policies who fund and supply these ethnic feuds with ammunitions.
You said: “Bantu, after you have given this board the impression of being endowed with the priveledges of research, information and an advanced mind (blessed),..”
--I will always address the substance of the topic and/or the hypocritical style my "opponent" takes with factual argumentations. I have the potential to learn more and check my values and arguments when astutely opposed. That means my debate style is focused on seeking out the "objective truth”, as I do not hold Truth (Wisdom) it in its infinity as yet. I don't have any problem you accusing me of pretentious ego or attacking me personally all day, I can take it leads me rurther to the Truth.
You said: “is now your duty to embrace resource persons like Rootswoman, African Empresss, SellassieIlives, FireChief and the many Africans who have been banned from this Africa, Rasta RasTafari Speaks board, look over their weaknesses..”
--They created more of their own misery here. As it has been stated several times previously, those who have been banned engaged in behavior, their sole purpose of which was to offend, disrupt, or to incite rancor and derision, they were all warned but still persisted. Consequently those individuals were banned from our community. It is a policy that is without regard to the beliefs bent of posters.
While everybody had the right to express their feelings and all opinions are welcomed, people whose sole purpose is to simply disrupt the flow of sharing of idea serve no useful purpose here.
You said: “IT WILL REMAIN A CURSE AS LONG AS WE DONT WORK AT UNIFYING THE CONTINENT. LET US START RIGHT HERE, IF YOU SEE WHAT INI MEAN.
LOVE IS WHAT MAKES MANY OF US COME AGAIN TO SUCH MEAN BEHAVIOUR BY SOME AFRICANS. “
--How are we going to UNITE when we can't even solve our problems and realize they exist in the first place? By failing to acknowledge or validate the most obvious of our problems, we are purposely perpetuating Division.
RAS HAL said: “What got me heated was Kelani saying that Ethiopia is an Apartheid state. Apartheid state is a very harsh criticism to a country who is divided not along racial lines as Kelani would like us to believe but along tribal lines.”
--The "Semitic rulers" and or the King makers, that followers of the state-religion of Orthodox Christianity or the Abyssinians, hand in hand enslaved majority of true Africans of the Horn of Africa. The color/cultural boundaries is abounding, blurred to a large extent in Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Sudan etc it is akin to Apartheid-like systems! Again I am referring to what it's widely known FACTS beyond the ego.
