What the I say may very well be true, however I have witnessed the mixure of Love, Overstanding, and researched documentation usually coming from only one side of these reasonings. What you refer to as "a little intellectual integrity" comes across very harsh with a lot of ridicule and criticism. It is not what is being said but how it is being said. Maybe a likkle too much intellect does not mix so well with the Love and overstanding.
