Yes I do agree that there have been numerous situations that have arisen from the implementation of the Willie Lynch method of how to create a slave. This method unfortunately has remained with us and as a result various situations of us a divided people exist. However wi must overstand that this method was manufactured to do just what it is doing. In other words like it or not Willie Lynch has succeeded through many of our current behaviors. Now it is incumbent upon us who are aware of the root cause to re-educate the rest in way of this behavior. However, wi must accept that this is a very very sensitive issue which can not be handled with gorilla tactics and new terminology. We as Africans (regardless of hue) are family. Yes there are times when fiyah is necessary but to burn the victims is akin to throwing out the baby with the bath water. It is all about approach. Wi as Africans need not to attack each other just because wi feel attack. Even with all that I have personally been through in regards to this subject I would never try to attack lighter skinned Africans who continue to practice this behavior. Nor would I try to make all other light skinned Africans feel responsible for the rest. That is why I said wi must watch our generalizations. Wi can’t fix a problem by enhancing the problem.

When you mentioned that many were labeled divisive for pointing out that this is a problem. I still say that it wasn’t the fact that the problem does exist. The problem may very well lie in how the problem was presented.
I am aware of the fact that there are Africans who may be fairer than I who practice what you refer to as colorism. I call it what it is prejudice towards those who are dark. Follow me closely here. Those who practice this and those who are afraid to say they are African to I have a “negro” mentality. There where in lies another reason why many conscious Africans are offended when they are referred to as “negro”. To I those with the “negro” mentality are living an existence of when wi accepted wi were negro when wi felt wi had no control over what wi were called or did not know any better. This is why you may read from others also the reference to negro. This is referring to the mentality which is in itself a backwards mentality for wi are a progressive people. A negro mentality does not always necessarily have anything to do with the hue of that person. Also keep in mind you have dark skinned Africans who show a prejudice against others who are dark skinned (again personal experience). Also there are dark skinned African who show prejudice towards those who are light. You may have an African with light skin who is totally unaware that this prejudice of dark skin is wrong because he/she is taught through the family line that this is the correct thing to do and sometimes even in those cases not a word is spoken among them in reference to it. Should you ask them they will say that light skinned people have always been in their family and that is all they know and they hadn’t really thought about it. Ignorance just the same but those folk do exist. So if Ones call another a “negro” they do not see it as a double standard. They distinctly feel that a “negro” is One (irregardless to hue or skin tone) who does not have an overstanding of who they are and their culture.

In regards to light skinned Africans benefiting from the structure that has been set forth, I feel that wi still can not generalize here. When wi reason sometime wi have tendency to say them and they out of contents which makes those who wi are not really referring to think that this does include them. So therefore they become defensive. There are many with lighter complexion who deliberately refuse anything in way benefits no matter how they are presented. They are fully aware that the benefits are there for them to take advantage of but they won’t because they have chosen not to as a way of life. So if wi continue to generalize wi alienate. If wi alienate wi are guilty of dividing. Wi need to spend more energies on Unification and not separation. Wi need to take care in how wi present these issues. It is a very sensitive issue that can not be denied. It is more of how do wi reason them so that wi all benefit from the growth. Wi need to stop pointing fingers and come up with solutions. The more wi work towards Unification the more we heal. And yes wi need to heal. Wi need to heal each other.

When wi act as a unit wi will be seen as a unit.
