Re: A Question of Phenotype - Part II

"More than any other minority group in the United States, blacks discriminate against one another. The discrimination, called "colorism," is based on skin tone: whether a person is dark-skinned or light-skinned or in the broad middle somewhere."

If wi are in fact to accept "colorism" as the bases for these problems then wi must examine where this originated. If wi review the Willie Lynch documentation wi would then see that the cause of seperation among us was rooted in the slave master's assurring that several groups of Africans were put into a superior light. Wi were deliberately put into positions where wi were pitted against each other. Wi reacted to difference that were introduced to us and then wi reacted. Wi were divided catergorized and labeled for means of control. Old vs young. Women vs men. Children vs family. And color: light vs dark. Divide and rule is not a new concept to Africans. As a result the roots of it's effect has migrated from generation to generation.
Wi have been hood winked and sadly some will remain that way because the desire for the materialism of the west for it has clouded our visions of who wi were and who wi are as Africans. This why it is important that wi do not i-tinue to divide ourselves any further. Introducing counter productive terminology to yet again re-define us would be a good example. As wi can see it only serves to distract us from the work at hand.

Blessed Love
