Is this how you see the sentiments expressed in Kelani's post? Please explain the relationship between the two?

As far as I see a return to true ancient African teachings is the way to move forward as African people. Looking at the examples of ALL of our great ancestors is the way forward. When we get our heads on the right way around and our eyes are fixed on Africa (and thus can see within and without) then we can fight with real power.
As I said in another post. I see no contradiction
