Rootsie, you are white yourself and you are totally ignoring my point: it should be bad if the white man was still using the word (as a matter of fact many of them still do), but If you had read my posting properly you would have noticed that I talked about a designation which can never be looked at in a positive way because it is not a name, it relates to nothing, it doesn't give you no identity! The starting point of mental liberation is the liberation from the designation which has been imposed on you, and from there you can build your own black paradigm, your own African identity, but you delebaritily overlooked that.
But it doesn't really matter whetter the contemporary white man does or does not use the term nowadays, the fact remains that he has imposed it on the black man, so it remains a slave designation.
Once again, you as a white person have no business telling black people to uphold a designation which has been imposed on them. Only dogs and slaves are named by their master, FREE PEOPLE NAME THEMSELVES!
