As a "dark-skinned-kinky-hair-Black-African-who-knows-the-origin-of-negro" she is perfectly well in order to use 'negro' in the qualified manner she did to make her point. You are also using the word 'negro' in your responses in a qualified manner. I wonder if you are the only one qualified to use the word 'negro'.
Your attempt to infer otherwise comes over as a personal dislike you may have for Kelani irrespective of you saying that 'you respect her as a person'. She really does not have to OBEY your command and is addressing a completely different matter to you.
So in light of this, I am defending her right to make her special point in the manner she chooses. The other part of your comment does not warrant a serious response.
