JAH...
"It seems like that you don't really know what mental enslavement is about, the adoption of an eurocentric paradigma. "
o.k...my response to that is, to explore what makes people able or subjected to adopt eurocentric paradigma...?
u gave examples of positions in society being held by people who are like you...in that if u see these positions being held by people who are like u then it would give u a vibe that u can do it too...and if these positions are being held by people not like u, then this will give u a vibe that u can't do it...
and I'm saying to percieve those vibes as truths gives way to mental enslavement...at point blank range...
what I'm sayin is nothing new...Garvey tell us that we ain't going to know ourselves till our back is against the wall...
do u know what its like when ur back is against the wall, mi Idren...? ( I don't say that to be disrespcetfull)
It won't matter if u see or don't see people like u holding positions in society around u...when ur back is against the wall, ur going to set out and go for it...trampling stereo-types, ideaologies, anthropologists tricker treats, and anything else that seeks to undermind Our pontential...and if we don't do this...then our backs isn't against the wall...
"just by speaking a European language you are made to feel inferior: all words related to Black are negative, and most words related to white are positive, so just through speaking a European language you are internalizing this European paradigma, this inferiority complex."
no...(I can hear the mobb coming now)....that is unrealistic...trying to be a reality...for one, if black was realy negativity...that u would attribute negative to it in word sound...then why do even Europeans sleap in it at night time...why does negativity give rests to their eyes that they can see, black and white alike...why does evrything in the universe rests in the bosom of blackness...therefore black is not negative...
this is something that U and I know...therefore even if we speak the language that attributes negativity to the blackness, in reality it cannot put the black down...because in reality the black is not negative...so if it put persons down, then it is they themselves are allowing it...
Marcus Garvey grew up and spoke the European language, English...and with all the trickeries as u have pointed out, of associating black with negativity did not stop Marcus from seeing and doing the right thing...wich is the evidence that speaking such a language still cannot stop an indivudial...a nation...coz Marcus is just one out of Jah knows how many...
I like to add something that I feel is significant...u will never know u can do it unless u do it...coz knowledge always comes after the action...we can never know that we are confident unless we do confident things...if we look to history for validation of confidence then there can still be little space for doubt that sez "that was then but u are now...u can't do what they did?"...many don't want to admit it, but these thoughts do haunt many of us...after aquiring such knowledge...
we have to do it...adn thats why I quote Sizzla song...do something before something does u...
its O.K...INI is just sharing what I learn and am applying in life...and the more those lessons do good for me, it is only natural to share it...
huh..."Evry Nigger is a Star"...
I give yanks
