Ras meant wisdom and Rasta was/is a state of consciousness. These concepts existed long before the person Haile Selassie and I knew of this before ever examining anything about Haile Selassie. (some others posted on this before) The word Ras evolved in Amharic to mean head –as in divine leadership.
I think I will publish more on the history of Rasta soon enough. (give me some time to finish some work)
Meanwhile I will let others try to expand on the intention of the first post.
