Most Rastas following the 1930s were first Christians and the Haile Selassie aspect came later. Still I do not see your point especially as a Rasta by my definition I never saw Haile Selassie as anything more that a historically important symbol who did his part.
Others are quite right to their beliefs on this but as I said I know many Rastas who do not embrace Selassie as their supreme leader and they are entitled to their position also.
