As I said before, we have all amply demonstrated that we define Rasta differently. No one has stated that anyone must change his or her definition. People are free to define themselves as they choose despite how false or ridiculous it may seem to others. Those who seek the bible do so, those who seek Selassie do so, and those who seek older definitions of Rasta do so as well.

You are free to hold this view, as do a others on this board, however all are free to call themselves what they wish and disagree with this statement. Is that so hard?? We cannot expect to have uniform beliefs. If this was so then there would be no need for reasoning other than to pat ourselves on the back and agree, not so?

I thought an excellent and productive reasoning that we needed to engage was the question of the common elements of all these people that call themselves RASTA as well as to honestly examine the differences. Rootsie did try to raise it but this central, critical issue became clouded by emotionalism; many saw one thing and began to attack it without seeing the issue as a whole. I find that unfortunate. However no one can be forced to engage an issue.

This board encourages discussions from all who come once they remain within the strict rules we have set. Nothing productive can take place in an arena of indiscipline.

So back to the point! Bring on the issues!
