The use of the term Negro or even Negroid for that matter is indeed one we can debate. Raise your concerns and ideas on alternatives on a separate thread and thrash it out. All who have done their own research come forward and debate. African people 'naming' themselves is important. If ones are uncomfortable with the terminology used then they are completely free not to use it and debate the use of what they feel is a better term in a separate thread where it can be addressed in a proper manner
However I think the main point of Kelani's post is to show the fruitlessness of repeated posts (many offensive and others just plain whining) complaining of the service, the vibe, the moderators etc. that does not advance the cause of africans/rasta/rastafarians anywhere and it certainly will not intimidate the moderators or make us budge on standards we are free to set. Let us agree to disagree on our approaches, beliefs and standards and move on to discussing ISSUES and not each other.
