The name for Eritrea at that iver was Bahr Medir, and it Capital(Debarwa) was still there even up to 1520 when the first Europeans(from Portugal started going through those areas to reach to Axum the main Capital of the whole area(Eastern Nubia(present day Sudan) and Kush(present day Ethiopia)This Capital of that area Bahr Medir(present day Eritrea)which was a province at that iver was called Debarwa.
