Greetings All
I wanted to reason a little bit, if I may, about the term 'one love' Rasta in regards to either, 1) the person is white, or 2) the person, whether black, white, asian, etc. doesn't give much energy towards the issues of race. Also, the term, 'hippy' Rasta, in ragards to the white Rasta. Fifteen years ago I was a junior in high school and on my way towards being a minister in the Lutheran church (five generations of German Lutheran ministers). When I started sighting up Rastafari I didn't even know what hippies were, or what exactly 'one love' was except for the Love of God, which Bob sang about...."there ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation..." This was a spiritual thing, and the things that were running through my mind, heart, and soul regarded Selassie I as Christ returned etc. So is Rasta only one thing? i.e. an African movement...or is it more than just that...a Christ movement...or for others is it Truely a One Love movement...is any one necessarily wrong? How can we set assunder what JAH has created?
Peace and Love
Jeff
