Ones seem to be forgetting their PLACE. It is, never was and never will be the responsibility of any moderator or administrator on this board to explain or defend the people it chooses to run, contribute or do any work that we feel fits into our mission to develop conscious discussions on African issues. This is a free site. None of you pay the bills or do the work to keep the many sites that are maintained by the administration running; and Yes Rastafari Speaks is but one of the sites that is maintained by VOLUNTEERS.

Many have come to this board expecting not to be challenged. They see the banner of Rastafari and feel that they will be safe to pat themselves on the back with how righteous they are and how qualified they are to speak on African issues. THEIR INTENTIONS HAVE BEEN REVEALED AND THEIR CONDUCT HAS BEEN FOUND WANTING.

You speak of deception yet it is many here who seek to deceive. Several posts have been willfully distorted and taken out of context to suit disruptive intentions. Any person who can reason critically and back up their position with logic will not have to resort to this low behavior. The initial post by Rootsie was very clear. It stated that there are divisions within the Rastafari community and many differ on the divinity of Selassie. This is more than an opinion but a fact. There ARE many different beliefs and communities that exist under the banner of Rastafari which do not all believe exactly the same thing. She raised a question based on her own EXPERIENCE about the uniform acceptance of the divinity of Sellassie and ones are so shaken that they cannot respond with integrity. If this so damages or challenges your blind faith that you feel you must resort to nasty personal slurs and insinuations then I suggest you check the strength of your faith and then attempt to properly reason on this issue without the taint of emotion.

You cannot speak of tactics when your own tactics can be so easily called into question. As Rose has said, your post has adequately illustrated the point that ones must resort to personal emotional attacks to respond to what was a clear, rational, precise reasoning.

I reiterate; WE DO NOT have a responsibility to explain anyone’s position on this board. If you have questions as to the content of her site I suggest you visit it and read critically its issues and its purpose, then perhaps you may be able to answer your own questions.
