Many have condemned Christianity on these boards, and were pushing others to look into a deeper span of African history for authentic meaning. But no sooner than they saw that they would not get to break the rules, they suddenly found that Haile Selassie was their Supreme God, which they feel will play into the sympathies of many gullible ones.
Haile Selassie had flaws like any other leader. He did what he thought was best, given what he was aware of and the colonial powers he wanted support from. His efforts did not unite Eithopia and Africa.
Of course, I respect him and Marcus Garvey, and I do not see them as being more divine than many other informed historians, African leaders and Elders.
Haile Selassie MADE MISTAKES! Get over it, and learn that people can emulate the better qualities of him, like they should do with all of our ancestors. They should not accept that all were so divine. Blind faith is the opium that keeps most poor people poor. Blind Faith is the ideal platform for deceivers, corrupt politicians, White supremists, and thieves (all hypocrites).
