True! Both the Word and the bread HIM provides. Wherever InI abide people tend to look to InI for one or the other, or both.
Touching on the crucial key regarding prosperity for the people, I find the same problem faces InI as in the days of Garvey or Malcolm X. Both of these brethren were victimized by the treachery of their friends and company. I have witnessed many individual cases of Rastafarian brethren who have built themselves up from an oz of herbs to owning buildings and shops and restaurants and so on, thanks to the Iscipline and patience they received from HIM. However when it comes to the organization of the people, the psychic and cultural dysfunctions of self hatred rear their ugly heads to self destruct the program. The remedy for this is Repatriation - which is NOT migration/immigration, for it is an Iritual and cultural restoration to the Ivine I AM ("patri"= father) - without which the physical migration to Africa will only add misery to Africa's misfortunes.
The black american middle class spends $679 billion in this economy, making them the 7th richest "nation" on the planet. On the other hand, Africa's NEPAD program has a $60 billion budget, however they have raised only $3 billion so far!!! I dont know, Idren and sistren, there is something very wrong when ONE PENNY out of evry US$ we spend is capable of paying our mother's doctor bill - and yet, we dont have the organs and institutions to do this simple thing! which all the "races" of the world take as most natural. Whenever we try to build something the same plantation mentality and dysfunction causes relentless treachery against the leaders and doers. As long as we are TALKING we can keep at it for ever, it is the ACTION which is an offence to InI enemies. This board, like all the black boards I have visited, bears testimony to the state of apathy.
When my Bobo Idren says he dont want friend and company on his hilltop, I can find no fault in that. So it has to go. The righteous and the wicked cannot stand in the same congregation. The very first psalm of David deals with this kinciple of separation of good and evil, showing the results of each.
Forgive the long winded response, Ras, if it is not strictly to the point. I have encountered the same good intention amongst Rasta people Iniversally, therefore if I am wrong in my overstanding of why the intention is not a practice yet, then by all means I stand for correction. The examples I mantioned earlier have proven when the separation from wickedness is in practice, prosperity follows if so desired. This was true of the Pinnacle, wherein Bro Howell 'The Gong' earned kingly stature in the whole of Sligoville for his righteous judgemants and generosity. This will remain true, for it is a law of Life. HIM says wealth (not money) cannot be built by the lazy and the faithless. Seen!
I await the man reasoning eagerly as always, Ras, and many oceans of peace and love Itinual to the Idren Iniversally, in InI Ivine Majesty's name, Ras Tafari Almighty!!!
