Quote from rasifree:this notion is counterproductive and borderline tribalistic
Explain to i how a simple statement of reality as EXPERIENCED by many dark skinned Africans (who have testified of their experience of this) could ever be divisive or counter productive. Its mostly those that are priveleged enough not to face that reality that will ignore so much evidence and argue otherwise. Unless there is critical self examination within those that call themselves African, more priveleged AFricans will continue to perpetuate the same white supremacy they claim to be against. Nobody is trying to define who is AFrican from who is not, but rather putting forth reality as experienced by a lot of people. If you not experiencing something because of your situation, then it is dishonest to speak for everybody and say that this experience as testified about by MANY people is false and/or divisive.
