Bredren, maybe I&I read it wrong, but I remember posts which suggested that only dark black skin was what qualified one for a "leadership" role in Rastafari. This thought was added to by suggesting caucasions had no place in Rastafari and that light skin Africans really didn't understand racism. These are the points of contention, there is no alterior motive.

I man was the one who use the word "divisive" and it is not because I&I are uncomfortable discussing race. Its just that among enlightened individuals who embrace Jah, I man see no point in dividing Rastafari. Discussion is one thing, but the statements made seemed more prone to division than to reasoning.

Everyone just wants to say "one love" and forget everything. Where did this statement come from, this "one love"? I don't remember any funny-bwoi with blonde dreads saying it- I think it was....whats hims name...oh yeah! Robert Nesta Marley. You know, the prophet.

I NEVER heard anyone, white or blck say "one love, lets just forget about all the race, class, and inequality issues" Man a RAS for a reason, and if they just want to hop around a reggae show screaming one love and smoke chalice all day, that doesn't make them a RAS. There are imposters in every faith.

I just lament the time we have wasted on this subject. Can we heal any problems we might have on this board? Can't we reason and promote unity? Or should we focus on our skin and our dreads some more?
