Idren and sistren,
In view of the militancy demonstrated by the anti-Rasta spirit in some 'houses' of the Rasta movemant, I find it worthy to bring to remembrance the words of the one Bob Marley who most of these ones have followed into the movemant
"My message? I would say to the world, be still and know that HIM Emperor Haile Sellassie First of Ethiopia is the Almighty.... a na me seh so, de Bible seh so...."
His brethren, one Peter Tosh sang "we know and we understand that Almighty god is a living Man"
Furthermore, Mama Booker has testified even with his final breaths Bob chastised her for singing "Jah will make a way", insisting she should call upon His Majesty name and say "Sellassie I will make a way".
Being that these are prominent members of TTOI, who are involved in the phenomenal growth of the organ, it is not surprising to man that there are Rastas in the TTOI who defend the Ivinity of HIM. I know such ones myself. The reactionary steps taken during succeeding decades has created the present environment wherein Rastafarians of 'diverse' beliefs have launched an assault on the very groundations of the tradition. They do so with conceit and vanity, and in profound ignorance; demonstrating a culture closer to a western social club than one of reverence and royal integrity.
This is the context whereby man can admit to not being altogether surprised by the testimonies emerging from Shashamane. Of only one thing I am certain in the final, "we are confident in the victory of good over evil." Seen!
Blessed peace and love Itinual in the name of Qedamawi Haile Sellassie I, the First and For Iver, Faithful Witness and Judge, Root and Offspring of Great David, the Seed of Wise Solomon, from the womb of the Queen of the South, the Bright and Morning Star, Light of this World. Ras Tafari!!!
