Greetings Bredren and Sistren,
I&I would like to point out that there is no leadership in Rastafari, there is guidance. There are Rastafari Elders, but no leadership.
There is no heirarchy in Rastafari. No bredren has power over another, thats is always how it has been.
Unity can be achieved without a "majority rule" mentality or a heirarchical Babylon structure.
This is why arguments about "white supremacists in leadership roles within black movements" is invalid. Would the auther of this article suggest I&I ignore the words of I prophet Nesta Marley because of his light skin and white father?
Does this mean he had some intrinsic evil embedded in him as ones suggest?
How about the skin tone of the emperor?
What I am saying is that this argument is moot. There is no heirarchy in Rastafari and certainly no white bredren I know, who is attacked from both white and black can be remotely considered a white supremacist. Them who a go seek the truth, shun the evil of Babylon, only to be told them skin tone does not qualify them to praise Jah is ridiculous.
What you have here, in many of the articles posted by ones is called intellectual masturbation and it happen in colleges all across the world. They rant, they pick things apart, them use semantics, and them say things not grounded in reality, and all this leads to NO ACTION. All it does is confuse.
So for them who suggest some type of leadership within Rastafari beside the guidance of I Jah and I Elder I say this: May the Fiyah bun dem out!!!!
RASpect in EVERY aspect- bless up
DJ ITAL
