Looking at the toxic waste that was illegally tipped in the Ivory Coast at its biggest city Abidjan - this was because the company, Trafigura, went for a cheap option and offloaded the waste in Africa instead of Europe. Trafigura the company involved has always denied that the chemical waste was dangerous, but analysis by Dutch authorities revealed it to be lethal.
