Obviously the Castro regime is far better than the Batista regime it replaced; however, "my enemy's enemy is my friend" is a flawed philosophy. Racism and police brutality must be confronted wherever they rear their head, including Cuba.
One thing I will say is that there is racism and/or colourism and police brutality in every single country in the caribbean (and the world for that matter), not only Cuba.
