Once again I only on the net for a quick half hour so ain't got nearly enough time to give the issues raised on this thread the attention they deserve. (Oh and I gon groove to some Bill Withers, meditate and get 4ward 2 ya on that other thing when I get the chance)
Briefly:
Who says gypsies kidnap women? Are you sure that's substantiated? Next to Black people gypsies are the most discriminated against group of people in Europe and Britain, this includes Romany gypsies and Irish travellers. Just like pubs had signs in the 60s saying "No Blacks No Irish No Dogs", there are still pubs to this day that say "No Travellers" (which must confuse the hell out of tourists...!) So are you sure this is not just a racist myth (or "culturalist" myth in the case of white Irish Travellers), like that gypsies are all thieves and vagabonds?
Also, why do you think women are naturally less suited to a nomadic or semi nomadic lifestyle?
And why do you think we would be extinct if we had stayed as hunter-gatherers? Seems to me we are much more likely to become extinct now, than when we were hunter gatherers. The people in Guyana who are still hunter gatherers (they might come into Lethem to check their email at the internet cafe by the airport, but they are still hunter gatherers) are doing just find... or would be if it weren't for the Guyanese Mob, oh sorry I meant "government"... and 50-plus percent of them are women and many do live nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyles.
