I think we might be saying the same thing.Although I dont beleive that Rastafari is solely a movement for black people,I just dont think that white people can represent for black people.They have no frame of reference,no right.

When you say that when white people change internally and overstand the destruction they have done to African people,then that is reparation,then I see that as a spiritual change,or internal change.So maybe we are saying the same thing.

Can you see that there has to be an internal change where white people mature emotionally so they can come to grips with what their ancestors have done.
White people who try to act as though they are from the carribean,or claim themselves as Rastas,are often just being ingenous and pretentuous.Few of them are acting in real accordance with their own culture and dont really live in accordance with Haille Selassies words and teachings.There is a 'cop out' attitude.So I see what you are saying.

I dont agree with the idea that Rastafari is not open to other peoples of different racial backgrounds as Haile King Selassie is the nucleus for all humanity in this time.Africans,who were in Jamaica saw this and the term Rastafari came the word that was used. His teachings are there to be followed by anyone-period.

I dont think King Haile Selassie came saying 'I have come to save and redeem black people only because they have been treated the worst[which is not in dispute by me]and all who hear my words should know that they are only for black people,unless I specifically include white people in my statements...'

I can understand African people saying 'why do white people feel they have to be included in Black man business'.
Its not their business!! Simple. The words of Haile Selassie are everyones business however. If he is God, then what kind of God says- you're not included in worshipping me?
1. GOD,to me, says you are included,we are one,ALL can worship me. 2. MAN, who cannot relegate the difference between the higher force(GOD) and the difference between the linear realm of race,gender,culture and the history ect. tries to make the two... 'THE SAME'.
JAH is simply ONE(cycles/circular/eternal). MAN is complexly DIVIDED/different (physically,linear). Its about bringing the two together.The more man comes closer to the source of his divinity the more able he is to act in a higher way.As going out (connecting more deeply with internal heights/God/spirit) and coming in (bringing the heights into action and matter,doing things).In breath (receiving blessing),out breath(giving blessing).

So this means, there are different realities and facts connected with the past or ancestory.
One such undeniable truth is the treatment of Africans everywhere by white people.So if your talking about the emotional wounds caused by this disgraceful behaviour, then you're talking about internal healing. No one can in truth really heal another one, so its up to the individual who has been the VICTIM to heal themselves. The PERPETRATOR, however cannot make amends until they acknowledge,accept and then admit their part in causing the wounds(this is what you Baba Ras Marcus have stated I think). The PHYSICAL/INSTITUTIONAL effects of white supremacy are prevalent and this system can be broken down, but only the black victims of such destructive actions can be the leader in deciding their direction.That is what seems to make sense to me. White people are'nt qualified to do that.
Just as one small example-If white people have 'the power'(better health conditions,opportunities ect.) and 'standing over' the black people and have taken away African peoples right to decide their own destiny then until they admit this and all of the things they have done in the past there cant be an honest interaction from whites to blacks. So apon admitting this honestly, whites like any other seem capable of praising god as Selassie I,or even seeing Selassie in any one of the number of revered positions that he's viewed in in all the various(Jamaican) mansions.

Anyway. These are just my thoughts and Iam open to change or correction.Reason some more with me if you will.
